Sports climbing will be at the Olympics in 2020!

We made it! Sports climbing is officially part of the Olympic program for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. This makes the Climbing World Championships 2016 even more tasty!

From August 2nd to 4th, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) met in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, for its 129th session. Today, the IOC made de decision to include sports climbing to the sports program for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Therefore, the 2016 Climbing World Championships will be the first in the new Olympic era! A major decision that will definitely increase the interest for this 2016 renown international competition.
